Project CHILDD @Montefiore

Professional art instruction for children with developmental disabilities (ages 3-18). Participants engage in therapeutic expression and build their self-esteem in a safe, supervised environment.

The program is managed by a registered professional nurse, social worker and community volunteers. A dedicated group of teen volunteers act as mentors, providing guidance and friendship. Families of the children receive “a gift of time” designed to give them a brief respite from caregiving.
